“Birch Bundle,” a candle made to purify and protect in the fall.
The sweet wood scent of birch with undertones of oak and cedar, combined with spicy black peppercorns.
Light for purifying the home, creating safe spaces for gatherings, rituals, and much needed self-care during the busy season.
In Celtic mythology, the birch tree symbolizes renewal, rebirth, and purification. It is a central plant in the celebration of both Beltane in the Spring, and Samhain (Halloween) in the Fall. Samhain is the start of the Celtic year, so purification is a central theme, and birch bundles were used to drive out the spirits of the previous year. Indigenous woodland nations in North America also hold the birch tree to be sacred, it’s bark protecting whatever it holds.
